Christoph Anagbonu is a co-founder and the Managing Partner of Mensah JB & Associates, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Consultants. He has managed the firm since its registration in 2013.

Experiences

Christoph was the Managing Director of Financial Accounting and Management Consulting Ltd from 2000 until it was converted into Mensah Duah & Co in 2004. He had worked in Japan for over 8 years across several industries between 1992 to 2000.

Christoph was the Country Partner and Project Director for the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), from 2008 to 2013. The projects included funding grassroots business and women organizations with grants ranging from US$250,000 to US$350,000 with the purpose of promoting economically empowering communities and eradication poverty in rural communities. Well over 50 rural cooperatives and businesses had benefitted among them are Ghana Nuts, Eden Tree, OMOA, ITFC, ENO Farms, JOPOCOS, Ejisu Pig Farmers Cooperatives, etc. From 2013 to date Christoph has been appointed to provide oversight and project monitoring of USADF under the Obama Renewable Energy Challenge in Ghana. From 2010 to 2011, Christoph was the consultant of Grassroots Business Foundation (GBF) – an international not-for profit organization which focuses on building and supporting high-impact enterprises that provide sustainable economic opportunities grassroots business organizations in developing countries.

Since 2011, Christoph Anagbonu has worked as a financial specialist with Maple Consult Ltd on several Ghana Government assignments under the Ministry of Local Government. These assignments include FOAT Assessment Tool for Municipal, Metropolitan and District Assemblies (MMDAs) for 3 consecutive years. Training of selected MMDAs in Financial management and budgeting (2013); Coaching of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) officers in Life Cycle Costing and Budgeting in 2014. Conducting research on liquid waste sanitation and to develop Sanitation and Hygiene Monitoring Tool for the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources; to make recommendation to the Ministry of Finance (Fiscal Unit) on expansion of IFMIS to accurately and efficiently capture revenue and expenditure on liquid waste at the MMDAs level. The study is funded by UNICEF and Water Aid, Ghana (2017)
